REFLECTIONS ON 2024

What a busy year it has been!

The highlight was a solo exhibition at Cairns Tanks Art Gallery sponsored by Cairns Regional Council and Queensland Government.  As a 4th year emerging artist it was a great opportunity to showcase my abstract artwork and the opportunity to teach other artists how to work with oil and cold wax medium.  Launch day was a great success with Cairns Mayoress Amy Eden opening the exhibition and Cairns City Council Lifestyle Creative Director Mr. Destry Puia as honoured guest.  Thank you also to Curator Chris Stannard who was Master of Ceremony and who guided me with the direction of the exhibition.  Many thanks also to all my friends who assisted in the lunch catering and the Tanks gallery assistants who did an excellent job with the presentation.

Post exhibition workshops were amazing with 36 registered attendees over two weekends.  Thank you to those who posted their reviews and comments. It was much appreciated.

Another highlight on the Cairns art exhibition calendar is the Artists Of The North organised by the Cairns Art Society.

Sales during the exhibitions were excellent. Thank you art collectors. A total of 18 paintings were sold in May/June with three finding new homes interstate and proceeds of three paintings donated to The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Queensland who do such an amazing job. Yes I have had the pleasure to be a passenger in one of those flights in 2019. Happy to help anytime!!!
